Meet the Dietitian
Gerlia has grown up in a family that loves, enjoys, and
celebrates food. She is a driven and passionate Dietitian with a desire to
improve health and wellness. What really inspired her to become a dietitian is
that dietetics is based on science that requires the artful skill of successful
implementation as well as the interaction with people. People do not eat
nutrients; they eat food and it’s her job to help interpret ever-evolving nutrition
research into real food that people can eat and enjoy.
Gerlia Venter received her Bachelor of Dietetics degree from the University of Pretoria in 2015 after which she completed her community service year at Leratong Hospital in Roodepoort in Gauteng. She is registered as a dietitian with the Health Professional Council (HPCSA) as well as the Association of Dietetics in South Africa (ADSA).
She also completed:
She is also an accredited GENEWAY and DNAlysis Practitioner.
As a dietitian, she wants to expand her knowledge, practical experience and skills in the Dietetic environment and strives towards making a difference in each patient’s life. She aims to see wellness not only as a healthy weight or a disease-free life, but rather as life in abundance in all aspects of a person’s life.
